TERMS OF CONTRACT

All Seat Ticket purchases, Enrollments, and Contracts are non-refundable after purchase however, are transferable and must be used during the season of purchase. The Competitive Edge Racing School’s season is typically from the beginning of May through the end of September. All Seat Tickets, Enrollments, and Contracts purchased before or during the current season must be used for one of our programs during that season. If the Seat Ticket or Enrollment holder fails to schedule and attend one of our programs for the season of purchase, they will forfeit the rights to attend at a later date and will not receive a refund. The Competitive Edge Racing School reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel a scheduled program or event at any time (i.e. track repairs, track rescheduling, etc,). In the event the program date for which you are scheduled is canceled for any reason, you will be able to reschedule your program to the next available date. Seat Tickets or Enrollments will NOT be carried over to the next season without expressed written consent of Competitive Edge Racing School. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

All participants must be at least 18 years of age by the date of the scheduled program and have a valid driver’s license. All participants will be required to sign a waiver and release of liability. Except for very rare occasions, damage to the race cars is unlikely and preventable however, participants are responsible for any and all damage that they may cause to the race cars, equipment, and or race track. A Damage Liability Policy is available for most of our programs limiting the participant’s liability and risk as an “insurance style” program with a $1000 deductible. For the “Thrill Drive” program the policy is $35.00, for the “Racing 101” program the policy fee is $75.00, for “Racing 202” the policy fee is $100.00, and for the “Racing 303” the policy fee is $125.00. A $1200.00 deductible program is offered for the “Competition Racing” program and the policy fee is $200.00. By electing to purchase the Damage Liability Policy you will only be responsible for the deductible amount in the event of an accident. Any participant involved in an accident or causing damage to their race car may, at the discretion of the lead instructor be excluded from completing his / her program losing any remaining laps. You can call our Customer Service Department for more information when scheduling, or you can purchase the DLP during registration at the race track. All participants must be able to enter and exit the race car on their own through a window opening approximately 15” high x 30” wide and 36” off the ground, and be in good health. Size limitations may apply. Participants over 6’-4” in height and/or over 295 lbs. should contact our Customer Service Department prior to purchase, to be fitted. There will be no refunds due to a student’s inability to fit into the race car.

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

The Competitive Edge Racing School will provide you with a driving suit and helmet if needed. The driving suits are Sparco two-layer Nomex. The helmets are Racequip SA 2005 Snell approved (Special Application)  with Nomex lining. This equipment may be adequate for the general usage and purpose that it is intended for, but it may not provide the highest level of safety available. When available we recommend, (not require), that the participant bring and use a multiple layer Nomex driving suit, with Nomex underwear, a Nomex beleclava (head sock), Nomex driving gloves, driving shoes, and a Nomex lined SA 2005 helmet. I understand that usage of school provided equipment is acceptance of its safety level. It is recommended that you wear sneakers in lieu of boots etc. Sandals or open toe shoes will not be allowed.

RAIN POLICY

In the event of rain we will make every attempt to dry the track and perform all scheduled track time. However, in the event the day is declared a “rain-out” (called at the sole discretion of the lead instructor), you will be able to reschedule any missed course time on the next available program date. If the rained out event is the last available date at that specific track your program may be held over to the following season. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GRANTED.

SCHEDULING & UPGRADING

You may schedule your Seat Ticket or Enrollment by calling 208-777-7080 or emailing  raceastockcar@aol.com . Programs are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, based on availability. You may reschedule your date if it is at least 30 days or more from your originally scheduled date with a $50.00 administration fee for racing schools or $15.00 administration fee for thrill programs. You may NOT reschedule your date if it is within 30 days of your scheduled date. If you cannot attend on your reserved date, you may send a substitute at no additional charge. You may upgrade your program by calling our Customer Service Department at 208-777-7080 anytime and will only be charged the difference in price.

PROGRAM FEES

Payment of the program fee is required in order to schedule a date. Program fees do not include personal travel, lodging, and / or meals. Prices may change without notice and are subject to surcharges in the event, or case of, excessive fuel costs or increased costs due to expenses out of our control. In the event of increases notice will be provided to the participant at least 10 days prior to the scheduled event. Visa, MasterCard, and Checks are accepted. A $25 NSF fee will be charged to all returned checks. Failure to schedule your program for the current season in which your program was purchased will result in forfeiture.
